When it was time to update their mainstream product, Alltech challenged Logic PD to design a more sensitive and intuitive instrument without increasing cost.

FAST FORWARD

Logic PD began with a highly focused user-centered evaluation of the key requirements and concerns associated with previous Alltech products. Drawing on the insights, teams from all divisions at Logic PD worked in synch to develop a compact instrument that offers more user-friendly control, more connectivity, a more appealing design, and better overall performance, without significantly increasing manufacturing costs.

FINISH

As a result of the product redesign, today usability is a key market discriminator for Alltech.

Embedded Computing Solutions

Provided the System on Module used for final production.

Product Design

Redesigned the interface and designed the display.

Mechanical Engineering

Integrated all internal components. Mounted electrical componenents. Helped model and thermomodeled.

Electrical Engineering

Engineered everything electrical. Used a Logic PD Development kit in its development process.

Software Engineering

Developed software platform to work across multiple languages. Performed application work on top of Logic PD Development kit.
