MINNEAPOLIS - July 22^nd, 2010 - Logic PD is proud to sponsor The ACME Rockets for the Twin Cities Red Bull Flugtag event on July 24^th, 2010 at Harriet Island in St. Paul, MN.  The ACME Rockets will design, build, and pilot a human powered aircraft off of a 30-foot tall man-made pier into the Mississippi for Red Bull Flugtag's Twin Cities debut.

Red Bull's Flugtag event challenges teams to design, build, and pilot homemade flying machines off a 30-foot high flight deck with hopes of flying into the wild blue yonder - or more likely plunging into the river below.  The teams are judged on three criteria: flight distance, showmanship, and on their 30 second skit performed immediately prior to launch. 

For the Twin Cities event, Wile E. Coyote will attempt to finally catch the ever elusive Road Runner. "Our inspiration, "explains Captain Brian Clemens, "was the super genius Wile E. Coyote and his affinity for giant ACME boxes with cool stuff in them, particularly rockets. Our performance revolves around the shipment Wile E. Coyote just received with the biggest most powerful rocket ACME had available to order." The team notes that even though Wile E. Coyote does not have a strong track record with rockets, they believe the team coordination, work ethic, creativity, and innovation exemplified in their craft, costumes, and skit will be sure to win the crowd and judges over.
