Design for the masses.

The City of Minneapolis had issued an RFP for a new street furniture system to all qualified suppliers. In the RFP the city states that all proposed systems be unique to the city and capture the spirit and personality of the community. Outdoor understood the value of design and the importance of domain knowledge so they asked Logic's Product Design team to develop a new industrial design for a street furniture system for the City of Minneapolis. Located in the heart of the city's warehouse district, Logic PD had a unique position of having firsthand experience with the Minneapolis transit system.  Working closely with CBS Outdoor and their suppliers, we created concepts that met the needs of communities, riders and maintenance workers, while managing the challenges of vandalism and extreme Minnesota weather. Features and materials drew inspiration from the city's world class architecture to deliver a design which reflects the city's history and attitude as a smart, active, creative, and environmentally friendly place to live and work.
